The Helix is a multi disciplinary arts and conference venue on the Dublin City University campus between Glasnevin and Whitehall on Dublin's north side. Completed in 2002, The Helix plays host to all manners of arts performance from music to theatre and also functions as conference centre. The Helix has three areas for live performances:
The Mahony Hall (1260 seats), The Theatre (450 seats), and The Space (140 seats). Recent performers include Second Age Theatre Company, Fishamble The New Play Company, Andy McKee, Tommy Emmanuel, The Blanks and many more. We have numerous events throughout the year and pride ourselves on the diversity of our program. The Helix is located on Dublin City University (DCU) Campus in Glasnevin, North Dublin. It is just a short drive from Dublin city centre, Dublin airport, and the M50 (Ballymun Exit) and M1 motorways. The campus is bordered by Ballymun Road and Collins Avenue. Access to the campus by car is by Collins entrance only.
